Norwegian Cruise Line has opened the bookings for their peak 2027 season with more than 500 voyages over 20 ships. NCL has over 30 major home ports in the deployment including Miami, Seattle, New York City, Southampton, and Rome.

The deployment is from  April through October 2027 and will visit over 150 unique ports across 59 countries. NCL is focusing more on the port experience with  more time in port and over 170 overnight stays in some destinations such as Istanbul, Reykjavik, and Royal Naval Dockyard.

“We’re proud to be the cruise line of choice for travelers who want MORE out of their vacation – MORE freedom, MORE destinations and MORE unforgettable experiences,” said David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line. “Our spring and summer 2027 deployment clearly brings our promise to life, offering something for everyone. Whether guests are hopping between European cities nearly every day, taking in Alaska’s natural beauty from ships custom-built to bring the outdoors in, or kicking back on the beach with family and friends at one of our two resort-style destinations, there’s no shortage of ways to relax, explore, and create unforgettable memories. I’m especially excited about the all-new experiences coming to Great Stirrup Cay, our private island in the Bahamas, that will truly provide guests with a variety of options —it’s all about giving guests MORE of what they love.”

Caribbean, Bahamas, and Private Islands

As expected, NCL is making sure that their 2027 deployment is stopping over at their private islands of Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, and Harvest Caye in Belize. Both islands are on almost every cruise for the region. Beginning in late 2025, Great Stirrup Cay will debut a series of enhancements including a new multi-ship pier that will expand capacity to the island. NCL is also building a convenient tram service for ease, an oversized heated pool, an adult-only retreat with private cabanas, and Horizon Park, a family-friendly recreation area with lawn games and gathering spaces.

Some of NCL’s newest ships, the Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Viva will be sailing out of Florida from different ports at different times to the Caribbean and Bahamas. Norwegian Getaway and Norwegian Escape will be joining in on the itineraries offering 3-5 day cruises.

New York, Boston, and Philadelphia will be the departure ports for Bermuda destinations. Ships assigned to this deployment are the Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Luna, and the Norwegian Pearl.

Europe

Across the pond, NCL will be deploying eight ships in Europe. Most of the itineraries are 7 days, beginning and ending on weekends, and will focus more attention on visiting and spending time in ports. These port-intensive voyages feature multiple overnight stays in cities like Istanbul, Copenhagen, and Hamburg.

In addition to its newer and larger ships, NCL will deploy its older and smaller ships in Europe so they can visit lesser known ports that can’t accommodate the larger ships. The Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Jewel will be offering these cruises to places like Corfu, Greece; Klaipeda, Lithuania; Riga, Latvia; and Gdynia, Poland. A reminder that the smaller and older ships can still rock a great cruise.

Alaska and Pacific

Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy, and Norwegian Jade will be sailing to Alaska for the 2027 deployment. Alaska is increasing in popularity as cruisers are seeking out cooler vacations to escape the summer heat. Cruises will depart from Seattle or Vancouver and visit various destinations and glaciers, including Glacier Bay and Hubbard Glacier.

Not to be left out, the Norwegian Spirit will stay in the Pacific waters offering cruises to Australia, Fiji, Hawaii, and French Polynesia. Most of the voyages will be 11-13 days long.

NCL doesn’t want you to forget their brand-new More At Sea program which features unlimited open bar with premium beverage, specialty dining meals, high-speed wi-fi minutes, and $50 shore excursion credits at every port of call.
