New Princess Premier Package and Princess Plus Package
Jul 23, 2025
Taking effect on July 22, 2025 Princess Cruises has made some changes and price adjustments to their Princess Premier Package and Princess Plus Package. The new packages and prices will be starting for 2026 sailings and are aimed to offer better incentives for those using them.
"By thoughtfully evolving our packages, we're ensuring they reflect what our guests truly desire, more flexibility, enhanced culinary experiences, and opportunities to explore ashore, all the while retaining the exceptional benefits they've come to expect," said Alfredo Jimenez, Princess Cruises Vice President, Onboard Revenue. "Ultimately, it's about delivering an even more rewarding and personalized vacation experience."
The Princess Premier Package is the higher tier offering aimed at making the cruise feel all-inclusive. The Princess Plus Package is the second-tier offering that still offers lots of perks, generally with more limitations. You can always choose not to purchase a package and enjoy your Princess cruise while purchasing anything offered by the packages ad hoc should you desire.
What is the new price?
Looking at the new packages, the pre-cruise pricing for the Princess Premier Package will be $100 per person per day, which is $10 more than its previous $90. The pre-cruise pricing for the Princess Plus Package will be $65 per person per day, an increase of $5 from the previous $60 price tag. If purchased onboard the price of both packages will increase by $5.

For new Sphere class ships which are currently only the Sun Princess and Star Princess, the pre-cruise pricing will be $105 per person per day for Princess Premier Package and $70 per person per day for Princess Plus Package. This appears to be just a $5 upcharge for being on the newest and most popular ships. The prices will increase by $5 more if purchased on board, just like the other ships.
What do the new packages give you?
Well the Princess Premier Package adds a new shore excursion credit with the value changing depending on the length of your cruise. $100 for 6–9 days, $200 for 10–20 days, and up to $300 for cruises that are 21 days or longer.
The Princess Plus Package only adds two more casual dining meals per voyage, for a total of four.
What do the packages still include?
The Princess Premier Package still includes the unlimited Premier Beverage Package, unlimited casual and specialty dining, four device wi-fi, fees waived for their room and boat food service delivery, unlimited digital photos, reserved seating for theatrical shows, and daily crew appreciation.
The Princess Plus Package will still have the Plus Beverage Package, single device wi-fi, fees waived for room and boat food service delivery, and daily crew appreciation
In case you are wondering, both drinks packages include specialty coffee, cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, fountain soft drinks, Zero Alcohol cocktails. The difference is the Premier Beverage Package has unlimited drinks up to $20 each, and the Plus Beverage Package is only 15 drinks per day that are up to $15 each.
What did they take away?
According to Princess Cruises, they removed items that weren’t being used as much in the packages. This included premium desserts, juice bar access, Medallion shipping, fitness classes, and Princess prizes.
In total, the package changes are not a big shake up. The price hike isn’t great as a 7-day cruise is now $35 more expensive than before if you get a package, but if you are using the newer benefits it could outweigh the change. For example, taking advantage of a shore excursion credit for the Princess Premier Package could cancel out the price adjustment alone. Will the change make the packages more appealing? Time will tell.
