Pole to Pole in 94 Days on Seabourn Venture
Jul 31, 2025
Would you spend 94 days going from north pole to south pole on a cruise? Well, Seabourn is doing this cruise in 2027. Cruising more than 20,500 nautical miles on the Seabourn Venture you will see remote destinations, rare wildlife and go on immersive expeditions from the High Arctic to Antarctica. The cruise is called the Pole to Pole: Grand Expedition.

Where does the cruise go?
The pole to pole cruise starts on August 17 and ends on November 19, 2027. The first port will be in Reykjavik, Iceland, followed by a charter flight to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, where guests will embark the ship. The ship will then visit 14 countries and territories, including 5 days in Antarctica, and have 60 days of expeditions. Other stops along the way include South Georgia, Falkland Islands, the Northwest Passage, and Ellesmere Island.
There will also be 33 sea days to enjoy the ultra luxury ship and enjoy all the fine dining and amenities the Seabourn Venture has to offer. While at sea you will also check off the milestones of crossing the equator, Tropic of Cancer, and the Tropic of Capricorn.

The pole to pole cruise ends in Ushuaia, Argentina, with a post-cruise charter flight to Buenos Aires. Reservations are currently open for sale to past guests and will be open for sale to the public on August 13, 2025.

"Our Pole to Pole: Grand Expedition is unlike anything we've ever offered and is a once-in-a-lifetime journey designed for travelers who dream of exploring the ends of the Earth in total comfort and luxury," said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn. "From the High Arctic to Antarctica, guests will sail through some of the most remote and awe-inspiring places on Earth, all while enjoying the hallmarks of Seabourn's luxury experience. It is an extraordinary voyage that only Seabourn can deliver."
Is 94 days too long for you? Well, Seabourn will offer a shorter 82-day Grand Expedition option, from August 29 to November 19, 2027.
What is the ship like?
Super fancy. Seabourn Venture is a smaller expedition vessel but still has the same luxury small ship experience with all Seabourn ships with complimentary high-end dining, premium spirits and fine wines, huge suites with private verandas, heated wardrobes, interactive entertainment, Swarovski binoculars for you to watch the wildlife, and personal host and attendant at your beck and call. Even the smallest rooms, the Veranda Suites, come with a walk-in closet.

The Seabourn Venture can only hold 264 guests so you will not be crowded. It has a spa and wellness center, 8 lounges and bars, infinity pool, on deck hot tub, club, theater, and sushi bar.
The Venture has Starlink-powered enhanced Wi-Fi and a 4K GSS Cineflex camera mounted on the mast of the Constellation Lounge, broadcasting imagery from miles away to monitors throughout the ship and in guest suites.
The Venture was built for exploration like this Pole to Pole cruise and shows in some of the unique offerings found onboard this vessel such as 2 submarines. How crazy and cool is that? The ship also carries 24 zodiaks for exploration and has 23 dedicated crew members just for the excursions and expeditions. The Pole to Pole: Grand Expedition will also feature daily expedition recaps and briefings, fireside chats, destination-specific enrichment, guided zodiac tours, hikes, nature walks, polar plunges and caviar on ice.

Curious about wildlife photography? The cruise will offer "Image Masters," an onboard photography workshop that provides in-the-field instruction on photo composition, camera technique, editing, and retouching, all led by the ship's accomplished photographer.
This is definitely a bucket list cruise stopping at several locations along the way that can tick off items on the list. Playing with penguins in South Georgia, taking a polar plunge, and exploring in submarines are a few that I would like to check off. Would you be interested in a pole to pole cruise this adventurous?
